I feel so bad that these kids are being sucked into such a worthless myth that will no doubt cloud their ability to make rational decisions for their entire life….You people should be ashamed for pressing your archaic beliefs on young impressionable minds.

Yes, Jesus says not …
Yes, Jesus says not to pray for recognition by men, and I’m certainly not accusing you of praying for that reason, but Jesus also says very clearly that you should pray privately, “in your house” or “in your closet”, depending on the Bible version. If you think the Bible is open to loose interpretation and you can pick and choose what to follow, more power to you. But Jesus’ actual instructions in the Bible about how to pray are very clear, and SYATP is inconsistent with those instructions.

Not at all! What Jesus is saying, is not to pray to be recognized by men. The point to SYATP is to come together and pray for our schools and nation, not to be recognized by men.
